Outfitted with state of the art computerized machinery, SDF ensures precision fabrication and superior quality. We have a CAD design service to help you visualize your project. All projects are onsite digital tem plated for precise measurements and a excellent fit.
Digital Templating: Capturing digital input from your job site within a 1/32 of inch accuracy, our digital templating allows your project to actually be traced to a laptop computer on the jobsite. Transferring it to our Design Dept. and straight to the CNC machines, Waterjet and laser guided saws, this method eliminates mistakes and also saves time.
Remodeling? We are able to scan your cabinets with the existing counters in place. The existing counters can be removed the same day as the installation of the new granite tops. In most cases you will only be without a working kitchen for just a couple of days.
CAD Dept: Kitchen scans are designed and then printed, emailed, or faxed to the contractor and customer for final approval for seams, angles, radius work, sinks, faucets and appliances. No surprises! You will see exactly what you are getting. Any changes to the design can be made easily. Our experienced Sales staff will encourage custom and special designs, to create a unique and personalized project. Our new machinery will cut exactly what you see on the drawing. Our CAD dept. can do just about anything you can imagine.
Machinery: In January 2007 we acquired a Waterjet, an automated CNC cutting machine. The Waterjet precisely cuts marble and granite to the exact dimensions, with water pressure up to 60,000+ pounds per square inch . It creates no heat or vibration. It’s the perfect stone cutting tool with an accuracy of 5/1000 of an inch. It cuts exactly what the digital template traces. Notches around walls, curves, centers for sinks and appliances - it can cut just about anything!
All edge work is machined with edge polishing machines and CNC machinery (no hand work). Our edges are straight, consistent, and highly polished. Our CNC’s precisely machine edges such as Roman Ogee, Water Fall, Bull nose and many others. We use no waxes that will dull over time. What you get is highly polished stone that will not fade or dull and will last for many many years.
