Wake Forest values the liberal arts tradition and believes every student should acquire background in the full range of the arts and sciences. The undergraduate faculties offer a four-year program leading to the Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology, art history, chemistry, Chinese, classical studies, communication, economics, education, English, French, German, Greek, history, Japanese, Latin, music performance, music history/theory/composition, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion, Russian, sociology, Spanish, studio art, and theatre. Study leading to the Bachelor of Science degree is offered in accountancy (five-year BS/MS in accountancy), biology, business, chemistry, computer science, education, health and exercise science, finance, mathematical business, mathematical economics, mathematics, and physics. Combined study is offered in medical technology and the physician assistant program. State certification is available in elementary and secondary education. Courses and advising are also offered for pre-medical and pre-law students.

Wake Forest graduates attend excellent graduate, medical and professional schools throughout the nation. Many have received prestigious postgraduate honors. Among the graduates of recent classes are eleven Rhodes Scholars, a Marshall Scholar, Mellon Fellows, Luce Scholars, several National Science Foundation Fellows, and Rotary and Truman Scholars.
